Regular price $17.46US Wellness Meats loves Beef Tallow because of its diversity. It can be used to cook or fry. It can also be added to vegetables or ground beef to increase flavor. Nutrition Pastry Chefs love Beef Tallow for baking savory dishes. You can also use Beef Tallow to make your own pemmican, candles, or soap.
The small (1.7 pound) container is convenient for home use. However, food buying groups, restaurants, gyms, and soap makers may benefit from purchasing the larger (5-gallon) bucket of Beef Tallow. It has not been bleached, deodorized, hydrogenated, or altered.
Discover the health benefits of cooking with omega 3 and CLA-rich grass-fed tallow! US Wellness Meats’ Beef Tallow (sometimes known as lard) uses a propriety blend of rendered beef suet and beef fats. It is naturally pure white to light yellow in color and has omega 6:3 ratios which are similar to fish.
When comparing fats for cooking and consumption, remember; all fats are not created equal. Conjugated Linoleic Acid or (CLA) is an omega-6 fatty acid (naturally occurring trans fat) found primarily in Beef and Dairy. Studies have shown these fats may provide a whole host of health benefits. These are very different from the trans fats found in manufactured hydrogenated vegetable oils which have been linked to inflammation and obesity.
The reason why grass-fed is important in this regard is because the amounts of CLA present depends significantly on what the animals eat. By most estimates, grass-fed and grass-finished beef and dairy can be 300-500% richer in CLA than grain-fed animals.
