TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS
Ultra-Light Construction: Optimized for flying in extremely light
winds, the SUPERSONIC combines proven technology with meticulous
manufacturing. Its design is tested extensively on the Formula Kite race
course, ensuring exceptional freeride performance.
Hydro-Tech: Built with the most advanced soft-coated fabrics, including
Skytex32 on the leading edge and 10D sailcloth. This material mix
effectively absorbs moisture, ensuring uninterrupted airflow and superior
performance in humid conditions. Hydro-Tech is fine-tuned for strength
and minimal weight, enabling agile performance in light wind scenarios.
Air Intake Line: Spanwise air intake lines stabilize the leading edge and
prevent inlet deformation for quick inflation. This ensures faster inflation,
quicker control, and enhanced stability across the wingspan during
launches. When overpowered, the kite flies further to the wind window‘s
edge, maintaining efficiency and delaying leading-edge dents.
High-Tensile Strength Bridle: Equipped with Dyneema A-lines and
Kevlar B and C-lines, all coated with UV-resistant layers for enhanced
durability. The bridle ensures consistent length and strength, reducing
wear and adjustments while maintaining stability and control. Integrated
Performance Tuner: A knot ladder on the C-pulley line allows precise
adjustments to the camber for power, steering forces, and depower—
Fine-tune brake line tension to match wind conditions and personal
preferences.
Mixer with Splice Trim to tune Camber: The aerodynamically advanced
mixer with splice trim allows precise tuning of the camber profile. The
design adjusts the depower, can avoid front stalls, and maintains stability
at high speeds. The mixer is designed to avoid tangling with bridle lines,
ensuring smoother operation.
Compact and packable: As with all our freeride closed-cell kites, the
SUPERSONIC is easy to transport and store, making it ideal for travel and
on-the-go adventures.
SUPERSONIC IN COMPARISON
vs SONIC:
The SUPERSONIC is designed for speed, while the SONIC excels at Big Air
tricks. The SUPERSONIC‘s ultra-lightweight materials are more sensitive
and less tolerant of unequal power spikes, such as those occurring during
takeoffs. This high-value kite requires gentle handling to maintain its
performance and longevity. What you get in return:
• Phenomenal Light-Wind Performance
• Up to 500g less weight, depending on the size
• Fine-tuning options and a less trim-intensive bridle line mix
• Improved depower within the bar travel
• Worry-free handling during maneuvers, especially with low tension
on the flying lines
• More front line load for easier take-offs, eliminating the need for
advanced techniques
vs VMG3
:
The SUPERSONIC caters to performance-driven riders who enjoy comparing
top speeds and tracking with friends or their kite community. The VMG³
is designed for professionals competing at the highest levels, with the
9m VMG³ being a complementary option for stormy conditions. What the
SUPERSONIC offers:
• Significantly better relaunch
• Ease of control
• No special technique is required for getting up and starting to foil
• Better handling during maneuvers with low-line tension
• Compact pack size and convenience while traveling
vs SOUL:
The SOUL is a more durable and versatile kite, best paired with a twin
tip. The SUPERSONIC, by contrast, is built for experienced riders with
knowledge of foil kites and strong flying skills.
